Six things that bring me joy and fill me with the wonder of life:
1. A knowing glance from my husband
2. A hug from my children
3. Words of praise from my mom or dad
4. A note of encouragement from a friend
5. A smile from a stranger
6. Last, but most of all, what God says about me in His Word!
Jeremiah 31:3 ""I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness."
Deuteronomy 7:9 "Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands."
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
Psalm 139:14-19 "I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand..."
What wonderful, encouraging words... truth. This is how the Creator of this beautiful universe sees me ... and you. Be encouraged!

Beautiful. Psalm 139 is "my" psalm. I just love the words spoken, it seems, to me. What a lovely way to start the day, to come here and read this!
