Encouragement Post - Coronavirus Distancing Day 29 (Monday)

Encouragement Post – Day #29 (Monday) 29 days of distancing… really? It doesn’t seem possible. After such a high high on Easter Sunday where it truly felt like all the world was worshiping our risen Christ, we are back to the “everyday” things of Monday. Just like the disciples, we have gone back to the normal things (well, the new normal… whatever that is right now.) And while it may feel mundane after 29 days of doing this, still there is “wonder” in the everyday. There are babies being born, there are marriages being restored, there are hurts – both physical and emotional – being healed, there are flowers blooming and dying, there are new books being conceived, there are new songs being written, there are art pieces being created, there are computer programs being constructed, and those are the "big" things. There are also first breaths of the new day being taken, coffee and first morning light being savored, morning greetings being given to family, meals being cooked or ordered, houses being cleaned, flower arrangements being put on tables, lessons being taught to children by moms and dads, groceries being bought, birthday gifts being given, prayers being lifted… the list goes on and on. These are the “everyday miracles” that keep our hope alive and help us to survive... and joy comes from these things when we keep our eyes fixed on Him.
