Encouragement Post - Coronavirus Distancing Day 47 (Friday)

2 Corinthians 4:6 "For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ."

Romans 5:1-2 "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God."

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Captivate Us
by Watermark

Your face is beautiful
And Your eyes are like the stars
Your gentle hands have healing
There inside the scars
Your loving arms they draw me near
And Your smile it brings me peace
Draw me closer oh my Lord
Draw me closer Lord to Thee

Captivate us Lord Jesus set our eyes on You
Devastate us with your presence falling down
And rushing river draw us nearer
Holy fountain consume us with You
Captivate us Lord Jesus with You

Your voice is powerful
And Your words are radiant bright
In Your breath and shadow
I will come close and abide
You whisper love and life divine
And Your fellowship is free
Draw us closer oh my Lord
Draw me closer Lord to thee

Captivate us Lord Jesus set our eyes on You
Devastate us with Your presence falling down
And rushing river draw us nearer
Holy fountain consume us with You
Captivate us Lord Jesus with You

And let everything be lost in the shadows
Of the light of your face
And let every chain be broken from me
As I'm bound in Your grace
For Your yoke is easy Your burden is light
You're full of wisdom power and might
And every eye will see You
And captivate us Lord Jesus with You
Captivate us

Encouragement Post - Coronavirus Distancing Day 25 (Thusday)

Encouragement Post – Day #25 (Thursday) Beautiful song filled with truth… perfect for this week. Glorious Day!

Romans 8:31-39 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, 'For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.'But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Encouragement Post - Coronavirus Distancing Day 15 (Monday)

Encouragement Post – Day #15 (Monday) Kindness is important. It is one of the 9 manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, KINDNESS, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control). It is something that should really come easily, yet for many it doesn’t. It doesn’t cost you anything. I am thankful for the kindness of God toward me. I didn’t deserve it, but He showed it to me anyway.

Romans 2:4 asks, “Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?”

And then Titus 3:3-5 gives us even more evidence of God’s kindness, “For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.”

Because of His kindness to me, I now have the power – through the Holy Spirit working in my life – to be kind to others. So, I am thinking about and praying about ways to be kind and people to whom I can show the kindness of God.

Encouragement Post - Coronavirus Distancing Day 7 (Sunday)

Encouragement Post #7: (Sunday) How encouraging that even through all the forced separation, the church is finding creative ways to "assemble together" as we are commanded in Hebrews 10. I have seen so many today who gathered together, virtually. I pray that you are finding ways to stay connected to your spiritual family in the quarantine. This virus has not surprised our Lord, and he has gone before us. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, "The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." How wonderful is it that we have the gift of technology to keep us connected during this present trial? He knows exactly what we need.

Lord, we acknowledge our need for You… for Your forgiveness for our sin, for Your mercy in our stumbling, for Your love to soothe the wounded places in our souls, for Your provision in our inadequacy, for Your protection over us as Your children. Thank You for being Immanuel, the God who is with us!

Matthew 1:23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means, "God with us."
Romans 8:25 & 27 "Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us."

Immanuel
by Mike Card

A sign shall be given
A virgin will conceive
A human baby bearing undiminished Deity
The glory of the nations
A light for all to see
And hope for all who will embrace
His warm reality

Chorus
Immanuel, Our God is with us
And if God is with us
Who could stand against us
Our God is with us, Immanuel

For all those who live in the shadow of death
A glorious light has dawned
For all those who stumble in the darkness
Behold, your light has come

Chorus

So what shall be your answer
Oh will you here the call
Of Him who did not spare His Son
But gave Him for us all
On earth there is no power
There is no depth or height
That could ever separate us
From the love of God in Christ

Repeat Chorus
