Encouragement Post - Coronavirus Distancing Day 28 (Resurrection Sunday)

Encouragement Post – Day #28 (Sunday) He is not dead… He lives! So many eyewitnesses testified to His resurrection. We have it written down in four different accounts in the gospels. But we don’t only have the testimony of those who were there at the time of His death and resurrection, but also the testimony of all those down through the years who have given their lives to Him. The power of the resurrection did not stop on that first Sunday, but it has continued to live on this earth in the lives of those who are His. On our own, we have no power over sin and over death. It is only by His power working in us that we can overcome sin and the grave. That is something for which we should worship and celebrate Him every day! There is no power – none -- that can rival His resurrection power.

A little post-Easter, pre-Easter reflecting...

I have been meditating on and mulling over exactly what Good Friday is and means in our lives today. And I cannot escape the fact that the CROSS is the great equalizer. We are all equal at the foot of the cross. We are all sinners. We all deserve to be up on that cross. Jesus knew that about us... He knew how despicable we are, and He willingly went to the cross and took our place. Every. One. Of. Us. All we have to do is acknowledge we need saving and accept His sacrifice freely. That's it... so easy anyone can attain it. The great equalizer. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
