And some non-commissioned artwork....

"Poinsettia"
9" x 12" watercolor


Before the commission rush hit, I was trying to come up with some artwork for Christmas cards. I thought I would share these and ask you what you think. Which would you choose... or would you choose neither? The poinsettia will obviously cover the front of the card. I thought the dove would be nice with the word "Peace" in some lovely font. Any ideas? Or more ideas for other artwork for a different sort of card. I don't have time for creative juices these days, as I am heavy into architecture. :)

    I'm smitten. Totally love both, esp. for their soft colors. And actually, the font you use for your name overlay is so pretty, that'd even be pretty used for your Peace wording.

    There's so much red/green at Christmas, to see pink and light blue is a treat. :)

    I love them both, but especially the Poinsettia. I love the soft colors......so pretty!

    I love them both - so pretty and soft with lots of depth and texture. But if I had to choose, I'd choose the dove as I'm not really fond of poinsettias.

    I really love the poinsettia - beautiful!

    I have a couple of ideas that you may or may not wish to use. When the clouds pass low here in the mountains, they leave everything covered in a heavy frost - the tree branches, grasses and snow all twinkle and it is the most magical thing I've ever seen. I have absolutely no idea how one would paint that, but it would be a beauty. Another thing I always find beautiful this time of year is a single spruce tree, covered with snow under starlight. Can you tell I love living in the mountains? :)

    both beautiful but I would choose the dove. Interestingly the cards I am making thnis year have a done and 'peace'. Nothing like as beautiful as yours though.
