Fruitful Fridays...

Along with gearing up for the school year, I have been working on a few things this week. I am doing a series of pencil drawings inspired by...

...Victoria magazine.

hollyhocks and roses...

...and some other white flowers yet to come.

Then there is this picture (below) that I am doing for a friend. It's a sweet story which, if she gives her permission, I will tell you all about it once it is complete.

And then I threw in a little surprise... since I have never posted a picture of myself, I thought I would share my little workspace (with me actually in it this time.)

Yes, this is my little corner (literally) of the world... or make that my little corner of the dining room! This is where the elbow grease happens... the inspiration comes before and sometimes during the "elbow grease" process. Happy Fruitful Friday to all!

  1. Beautiful drawings Christi, as always. I love the rose and hollyhock. Loved seeing your and your work space as well. It is fun to get to take a look at where other artists work.

  2. Christi, Your work is simply the BEST! I absolutely love your rose and hollyhock and that lady!

I also liked seeing you work in your dining room. You have beautiful surroundings in which to draw! I liked seeing with whom I have been blogging!

    Thank you for this post!

  3. Ahhh I am sitting here on the computer and I need to be painting. You and your work are inspiring. Thanks for sharing

  4. How I do miss the old Victoria. I am so grateful that I saved every one! They are indeed such an inspiration and I'm glad they inspired such lovely artwork from you!

    Happy Weekend!

  5. What fun to see your nook with you in it! I always enjoy seeing your work.
