Encouragement Post - Coronavirus Distancing Day 33 (Friday)

Encouragement Post – Day #33 (Friday) Light at the end of the tunnel? We are hearing of businesses getting to re-open and people getting the “okay” to go out in small groups again, albeit in slow doses. This is very good news. Yet, still we are to be very cautious as we venture out there. We still need guidance, but mostly we just need to trust that God has numbered our days and that He cares about us even more than we could possibly care about ourselves.

Does your soul find itself filled with worry or care? “Take courage. Consider the stars… when it is darkest, they shine out the brightest… He Who made all of this, says you’re worth more than this and holds you in His hands.” I have called this beautiful song a lullaby for adults… it is another one that just washes over my whole being with peace, truth, and grace. Whenever I feel anxious, especially if at night, I just put it on repeat and my pulse inevitably slows as I consider that the One Who hung the stars holds me in His hand.

Consider the Stars
by Keith and Kristyn Getty, featuring John Patitucci

Consider the stars in the sky;
Look up and wonder, can you count their number?
Consider the stars in the sky;
Umbrella to hide in, a dance floor of heaven.
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid

Consider the stars in the sky;
When it is darkest they shine out the brightest
Consider the stars in the sky
In every anguish, Oh, child take courage
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid

He who made all of this, and who holds all of this,
Holds you in his hands
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid

Consider the stars in the sky;
Diamond in a ring. Over the Child King.
Consider the stars in the sky;
Grace He had promised, coming to find us
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid

He who made all of this, says "You're worth more than this,"
And holds you in his hands.
